Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett in the same day?!!
They both died today. Jackson by heart attack and Fawcett after a years-long battle with cancer.
If I ever stopped writing, my head would explode.

Just reading it now on the IMDB. Weirdness
EDIT Wow, the message boards under Jacko's IMDB profile are going CRAZY!
Oh, and The Onion already has an article online. I guess the world really does run on internet time now

I bet Jacko killed himself. I was sad that Farrah died but I actually did a fist pump and "YES!" when I heard about Mike.
What did the mother say to Michael Jackson at the beach?
Get out of my son!

Celebrities always die in triples. If one (relatively well-known) one goes, you can expect two others within days.

You have stats to back this up, of course?Redstar wrote:Celebrities always die in triples. If one (relatively well-known) one goes, you can expect two others within days.

(Where you been?

(Seriously, Freak, who cares? About why he died, I mean, not your theory; that crossed my mind, too.

I don't really care and I too am just glad he's gone. It would just make me a little warm and fuzzy to know he offed himself, alone and miserable.SandChigger wrote:You have stats to back this up, of course?Redstar wrote:Celebrities always die in triples. Maybe I'm a terrible person for thinking that but I promise you this, there's no one happier about this than the Governor of South Carolina. He's off the front page now.

Like Freak I also was a little happy. Though his heyday was before my time, or at least before I could remember, the many accusations against him destroy any image I could have had of him regarding his music.Baraka Bryan wrote:they said it was a heart attack, which I can believe. he was just getting ready for a 50 show tour etc..
anyways, i don't really care. the little boys of the world are rejoicing. anyone who nicknames one of his children "blanket" has some serious issues
Just wish I could remember The Office episode you're referring to.Baraka Bryan wrote:edit to add: Michael are you ok? are you ok? are you ok Michael?

I feel sad for him. I remember when my father bought me the record of Thriller, years later we, the whole family, went to the concert here in Mexico City. I stopped watching Battlestar Galactica in order to follow the recreations of the trial on E!
Only the books written by Frank Herbert are canon.

I guess that this means that McAuley Culkin is about to re-enter the public stage. Maybe Bubbles too.

I was gonna hold back on the day of the mans passing.. but will jib him a little.. guess bleaching your skin.. sleeping with a monkey in an oxygen tented bed.. and molesting children gets ya what he got.
Semper Fi to Ed McMann was ok coot in my book, not good with money apparently, but good fellow none the less, fellow former Marine.
Farrah passing was sad, and she will be missed im sure. Beautifal women past and present. Smooth Journey and get the Rest you deserve. Kate Jackson and Jacklyn Smith are still alive if anyone was curious about the other original angels.
Interesting day to say the least,
Wonder who is next on the celeb list to pass?
larry king?
Little Richard?
OJ?
Dick Chenney?
Jimmy Carter?
Who Knows.

I like to imagine that the morphing sequence at the end of "Black or White" is a Face Dancer.

Re: Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett in the same day?!!
Thriller came out when I was in Jr. High School, it was universal. It played in the gym durring PE. It was on MTV. I'll admit it was talented music and performing but just not my cup of tea. His extreme lifestyle folowing his meteoric rise was fantastic and I admire him for that too. His obvious pedophilia and struggle with identity really turned me off though. I guess what finally pissed me off was him buying all The Beatle rights.
Ed McMahon, too much Alpo and Budweiser.
He was the face of Budweiser for generations:

A classic sidekick. The financial and health issues he faced in his final years was sad to see. I'll miss him.
