Forgive me for I have committed Jessica's Crime
I have to confess, I've read all the prequel books written by Brian Herbert and Kevin. J Anderson. I read those books before reading the Frank Herbert books. And I am not worthy to be called a Dune fan. I will not go on and on about how inferior the BH books are, I'm sure we all know it, but in one way I'm grateful to having read them, because now I appreciate the power and beauty of the original Dune. Dune has simply shaped what I am today, I fully live the life of a Bene Gesserit and hopefully one day I'll go through the agony (if anyone knows how to do that please let me know) and the philosophy of Dune has fully shaped the way I think and deal with society. But I am at an impasse now. I only have 8 chapters left of Chapterhouse Dune. Evidently, I refuse to read the heretical work of BH and KJA which conclude the story. But I am deeply sad that Dune is ending. Where will I find solace?

Hello!
Two points:
1) I do not recommend imbibing poison, ever. If you didn't already experience the agony by reading the prequels all the poison will do is kill you.
2) The best remedy for coming to the end of a reading of the Dune series is to pause a while...and then read it again. In between you might try Destination: Void or The Dragon in the Sea.

Have you read FH's other books?
Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

To hate a thing, you must know the thing.
You are in good stead here. We've read them all too.

Welcome twice welcome.
And I'd say the same as georgie, avoid voluntarily poisoning yourself access past memories.
You've already done all that anyway, by starting by the hack's drivel and reaching Frank's magic.
And Jessica's crime was to love her Duke iirc.
