I'm reading though the entire series, both Dune and McDune just to compare the writting styles and literacy skill. I just got to Dune Messiah after reading POD (

). What the hell is all this shit about Guild Navigators not being able to or having difficulties comunicating with regular humans? Edric dosen't have any issues, if anything its all Scytale can do to shut him up.

but for want of a better word we'll go with that!

That explanation becomes really scary in light of some of the torture scenes these two have come up with...

It made me physically upset reading Dune and subsequent novels shortly after McDune. The contradictions and difference in quality made me angry-sad. Permenantly.
