Board Upgrade

The plan is to get the board upgrade to PHPbb3 done tomorrow afternoon, so Jacurutu will go down sometime during the day to get that done. I will ask Raggy to add a few alternative skins upon upgrade and a smiley pack. This will be a basic install that can be upgraded: the idea for now is to get the software in place, so if you come by tomorrow and the board is down, you know why.

We will be reinstalling the board content as it appears when the board was taken down, so presumably no messages will be lost, and unread posts will still show as unread. This should be pretty smooth, based on the upgrade of T(A)U. The URL will remain the same for Jacurutu, though, unlike for T(A)U.

Raggy installed the smileys and a few different skins so it will be easy for users to tell T(A)U and Jacurutu apart. Others skins may be added, so let Freak know if you want any in particular, and be ready to provide a URL. We will be looking at mods soon, so more is coming.

not happy with skin selection.
the only one that's got a dark background is "GuildWar" and
I hate dragons & the narrow format.

please help granpa out, now .....

If the format is throwing you guys off, just switch the Board Style (under Board Preferences in your Control Panel) to subsilver2 and you should be fine.

Its much more stable, much safer from intrusion, its currently supported by PHPbb, it offers much more funcitonality (such as the ability to use peer-to-peer type transfers, and a telnet client - as soon as I get that activated), and its gives us admins better control over over the board.
