He once PM me a question I didn't understand:

"Do you belong to the underworld?", he wrote,

I asked him to explain it.

"I was a friend of Soleman, because he taught me to think of a word I barely use" :)
Only the books written by Frank Herbert are canon.

His new hobby seems to be hate. He can practice that somewhere else.

Anyone heard anything from him since the booting?

(He hasn't been posting on DN under his old or new identities.)

On March 2 he sent me a message on YouTube asking me why he was banned. I copied a post Omph made about him not following the rules and that Omph and Freak were tired of giving him more chances. He then messaged me "Goodbye, Tleszer."

Haven't heard from him since.

I really wouldn't be suprised if that kid jumped off a ledge... based on his online persona.

It's a shame, I tried to help him.

A shame? Why? :?

I'd push him myself if had the chance. Multiple times.

I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

Poor Sloe Man, he was funny as a 12 year old but it was starting to get a bit disturbing.

Was this guy ever anything more than what I can see in the Bad Examples sub-forum?

I wonder about this too. I seem to remember a few of his posts from DN from ages ago, but I never really got it.

He was most commonly known for his bad spelling and insane fan fiction.

The fan fiction was so off-the-wall that it gathered sort of a cult classic status.

I never cared much for it.

He sounds interesting enough, being banned both on DN and here.

I don't think he's banned from Dunenovels, he just left and came here where all the old regulars from Dunenovels migrated. He is funny, but from some of his posts it looked like he was turning into some sort of white supremacist, which is not so funny. He's only 13, and an annoying little shit, which was what made him funny.

Hm. I recall going through old threads back there and seeing his username marked 'guest' as if he'd been banned, though he may simply have forgotten to log in or I was thinking of someone else.

I don't ban people lightly here, in fact I try not to. We have very simple rules. One that is not written in the rules though is disturbing the peace in a non-dune related way.

If you want to discuss something controversial related to Dune, that's fine.

Just don't disturb the natives for no reason.

Yeah, I believe it take A LOT to get banned by Freak.

I didn't realize Sole was so young. That explains some things, not much, but some.

He hasn't been banned on DN as Sole Man, but he made a big show of leaving there back in September and, to his credit, he hasn't gone crawling back in that guise.

He did have a second identity that isn't too hard to spot, but he hasn't posted using it for a while, either. I didn't check to see if it's been banned.

I don't know ... but I'd be really surprised if he isn't trolling some hate site somewhere. And of course we're the bad guys for kicking him out after repeated warnings and giving him every possible chance. Blah blah blah. Life's rough and if you aren't strong enough to make it through adolescence, well ... too bad.

The best he can hope for is a Darwin Award.

That's harsh, true perhaps but I didn't have the pleasure of his company beyond the public forums. Chin up Sloey and don't let the bastards grind you down, there's light at the end of the tunnel and you never know it may not be a train.
