Unprofessional?

A few days back someone here referred to posting PMs and emails as "unprofessional".

And now Byron, "explaining" why the Jacurutu link in Nekhrun's sig was deleted, has posted

The sig for "that other site" is not going to be allowed due to unprofessional conduct over there toward the Herbert family and its members.

Now THAT's a prize-worthy example of the ole pot-and-kettle, huh?

Anyway, my dictionary gives the following as the definition of this word:

below or contrary to the standards expected in a particular profession : a report on unprofessional conduct

So ... like ... is someone here doing this as a job? Or getting paid for it?

I mean, for me, this is a hobby. I do it because I enjoy doing it. This isn't connected with my profession at all.

Isn't that the same for everyone here?

Actually, I was hired to bash BH and KJA by rival SF writers. I kinda suck at it though. Hence, unprofessional!

Wouldn't unprofessional be the very epitome of how the HLP handles its business? We're nothing but a loyal FH following trying to call them out on what a horse-shit job they've been doing.

I don't think of Jacurutu as an anti-HLP site though, that just happens to be the sentiment of the majority of the members and is really their own fault for hiring a hack.

I'm not even a professional at work. I'm an employee of a subcontractor hired by a professional.
