It is one thing to think that he is referring to fans of the book, Dune, but there is something in the timbre of his typing that makes me think that when he says "ALL Dune fans happy", he is referring to the flock of prequlelites that he shepherds over there at the Dune bBS.
On the other hand, if he really means ALL Dune fans there can not be any prequel shit in it because not ALL Dune fans will like that.

I wonder if Morel is still directing the other three parts?
I wish I hadn't been banned or I'd ask Byron if this was "the storm" or if this was still part of the "calm before the storm" he's been talking about...
They are FUCT.
"I must admit, you have an astonishingly good idea there, Doctor...."
While the Ouija movie could be a traditional horror picture (think pretty young things haunted by strange occurences on a creepy sleepover), it's actually being developed as an action-adventure in the vein of "National Treasure."
wow
so instead of a shitty teen slash film it'll be a shitty Jumanji ?

Can't
(fucking)
Wait.
.. to mock it
Morel is busy at the moment working on the much-chewed-over "Dune" reboot. And discussions are still preliminary -- other directors are in the mix too -- so no one is going to rush this film into production. But with reports that another Universal Hasbro movie, "Stretch Armstrong," could be pushed to 2013, it could make the studio's urgency for a big action movie -- the exact sort of picture that "Ouija" is being conceived as -- that much greater.
Wasn;t it Morel who said he saw Dune as an action movie ?
Maybe that's what Frank meant when talking about Duncan stretching thin, it was meant to be Stretch Duncan !

and, in the comments .... Oh. My. GAWD.
I remember sitting in a movie theater in Monterrey, Mexico watching Dune sometime in 1980’s and being blown away. Having never read Dune before, the movie was difficult to follow at times. For those brand new to the “duniverse” who are planning on seeing the new Dune movie if and when it’s made a good recommendation would be to read the three dune prequels (House Atreides, House Harkonnen and House Corrino) before watching the movie. After watching the movie then definitely begin reading the original Dune books in chronological order.

Right. And so far as I know there's no evidence that he is "paid" or "receives merchandise".
I mean, Maker knows I'm at the front of the line of people wondering WHAT the fuck the little shithead gets out of what he does, and I've called him a shill over on FED2k, but there's no evidence that he belongs to KJASF or has ever had any contact with anyone besides Byron via the DN board. (If you apply the Pestie Piggybumkiss definition of shilling, where peer recognition and approval count as intangible profit/payment, then the toleration and ego-stroking he gets over there from Byron certainly qualifies.)
I guess I'm just thinking that he pulls enough REAL shit and asshattery that we don't need to be presenting speculation as fact on other sites. That can't improve our credibility in the long run.
Edit: Backtrack a bit: did he post something somewhere about receiving an ARC of one of the books?
