Rally to Restore Sanity in Literature
When Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert announced their rally in DC, I knew I had to go. I knew immediately what my protest sign would be. Yes, this is me, doing my small part to restore sanity to the Duniverse:
The sign was AMAZINGLY popular. I lost count at about 30 people taking my picture specifically because of the sign. Out of those, only 2 or 3 asked if they were "that bad". Everyone else was yelling, "Yeah, they DO suck!"
Here's a close up of the sign that I made the morning of the rally. I was very happy with the end result with as little time I had to make it.
I'm hoping to find some more of the pics people took so it doesn't just come off as me boasting I climbed every mountain with the only proof being a pic of me on a trail with a walking stick.
here's a close up of the sign:
The Rally itself was amazing fun!

Yeah, the Jedi costume was my second choice, but it worked.

Well, that's just about the most awesome thing I've ever seen.
But, man, no support for McDune?!?!? I find that difficult to believe.**
Keith claims they get "thousands of letters of support," you know.
**By which I mean I totally believe it

Nice work man, that's pretty awesome. Now, we just need Eru to get kja to sign a copy of that picture.

Great work, Amp. Really great. And hilarious you had so many people agreeing with you about it.

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.

Awesome! I really wanted to go to that rally, but it's on the opposite side of the continent, just couldn't make it. I hear there was significantly more than double as many people as that idiot Beck's rally.

That's because Beck is not a real libertarian. He's a neocon through and through. Jon Stewart; however, is a real libertarian and far more charismatic regardless of his politics.I hear there was significantly more than double as many people as that idiot Beck's rally.

I don't know if Stewart is really that libertarian, seems more like a middle of the road kinda guy to me.

Re: Rally to Restore Sanity in Literature
True, he does have a few un-libertarian views (like on healthcare) but he's a lot closer than Nazi Beck is.

Re: Rally to Restore Sanity in Literature
Most sane people fall in the middle, neither end of the spectrum really shows much promise. Most (more than half, by a long shot) of people are idiots and need to be told what to do/taken care of, but that doesn't mean the other 10% should get to rule with an iron fist.
I don't think I've actually heard Stewart say very many things I ever dissagreed with.
