Yes, you are. That last line was almost worthy of Bassho!
(He supposedly once wrote a haiku on the famed islands of Matsushima that goes
Matsushima ya
Aa Matsushima ya
Matsushima ya
"It's Matsushima!
Ah...it's Matsushima!
It's Matsushima!"
Maybe, actually, you're doing better?

Frankly I have no idea what the big attraction of haiku is, I find the form dull and listless.
And the really good poetry has to rhyme IMO, call me old fashioned.
Now if GRRM had given a more complete version of it, I might've written The Slig and The Combover Pig here.

Huh? You seem to forget where I am.orald wrote:Yea, simpler tastes. No go eat your poached salmon in whatever-Frenchie-sauce with the rest of the aristocrats, I'll have my stake an' taters, TYVM.
Actually, Bint was in a domestic mood this morning and made a Japanese-style breakfast: fried salmon (good call!) and a poached egg, miso shiru and rice with some pickles and a bit of salad on the side. YUM!

(The only French I eat is lunch at the little place near work. I think Teg will verify that they are anything but pretentious.
