KJA, the bastard that he is, makes me wonder how the hell bad writing manages to succeed. OH, right, cause its all about mountain peaks, voice recorders, and some poor lady typing up what you vomited out when she plays back the tape.

That formula doesn't even make any sense.

Exactly right. And there's quite a few of them, and most of them are completists.

So very true. Probably as great a reason for KJA's success as any other. Also: "If there are 10 books in the series, and they keep publishing more, it *must* be good."

An embarrassing fact, I continued to buy Cards Ender books even after the poor guy lost interest in writing them. Optimistically, I guess you could say it's the power of that one great book. I'm not sure I want to examine the darker reasons.

I thought the most recent one was actually pretty decent. Not sure it was *necessary*, exactly, but not a bad read.
