Other Uses For The Prequels/Sequels
Thankfully I don't have a problem since I don't own any of those things, but I thought I'd start a thread for any of you that might have one or two.
Not to say that they're that embarrassing to have on a book shelf, but they could serve a better purpose in another capacity. There are a few ideas on the Amazon.com web site under "product tags" for Sadworms Of Dune ("door stop", "kindling", "dunnage material", etc), and I'm thinking there are more creative ideas. Chigger had an idea in another thread, taking images or video of such ideas.
Any thoughts?

I dont even want to be questioned about them, so other than Dreamer of Dune, they are all gone and sold.HoosierDaddy wrote:Thankfully I don't have a problem since I don't own any of those things, but I thought I'd start a thread for any of you that might have one or two.

Ah...I knew there was something missing in this forum: a thread like this!
I considered lugging them to class and beaning students with them if they fell asleep or answered incorrectly...but then I realized that even the paperbacks are substantial (in a purely mass sense) to actually kill someone, so I gave up on it.
I suppose you could keep them by your bed to throw at home invaders?
And of course there's keeping them on hand in the toilet, for emergencies.

They would definitely have to be soaked in something for a while, but I really like this idea. The thought of people pissing on the BH/KA books, fans and non-fans, has a special allure to me.Omphalos wrote:Ineffectual? We need to immortalize this in a picture. I'm on it.
