Moneo has seen their records and has seen enough of them dead. He knows that only nineteen Duncans died what people usually refer to as natural deaths.

All the others were killed. If we assume that Duncan, with the benefits of spice, lived to be at least 100 (probably more), that's 1900 years already accounted for, leaving another 1600 years of possible Duncan deaths. Surely they made it at least 50 years before flipping out? That would be about another 32--I'm going to ballpark that there were 50 Duncans total

Notable here is the wording: *only* 19 Duncans lived out their lifespan (natural or extended), which means that this was a minority, and a significantly larger number of Duncans were killed off. I think 50 is insufficient, since that would put it at 31 fatalities versus 19 natural deaths, which is nowhere near the ratio needed to match the language used there, or in the reference to his many lives in Heretics:

This is from the sex scene between Duncan & Murbella, and his past-life memories also contain the big reveal about axlotl tanks. But that's going off on a tangent. The point is, the language here emphasizes numerous deaths, and most of them by the hand of Leto II, directly or indirectly. On the other hand, you have to balance this against the time-spans laid out by the above post, and then factor in the possibility of some Duncans being killed off relatively quickly, ie in 5-10 years.

Thus, my guess is that there were anywhere from 100-200 Duncans.

That's a good point. I guess my estimate can be considered a lower bound, with potentially hundreds more deaths, depending on how many Duncans had a short fuse and quickly rebelled against a seeming tyrant (who was ultimately teaching humanity by bad example, but that's a subtle point).
