What a lousy economy lately.
Upstate NY in USA here. Read original Dune book back in 1984 after seeing the movie for the first time. I became a instant fan of the series and avid reader of anything remotely Frank Herbert.
Have read and collected all original books in the series and the newer books. Some paperback and some hardcover versions.
Countless hours were spent playing PC game " Dune 2000" also.
Was in US Army during Gulf war I, wondered what comparisons were between sands and wadis of Saudi vs Arrakis.
I only imagined the chafing Fremen had in their stillsuits, my BDUs were magnets for any size grains of sands in Saudi.
Missed the SciFi TV series of Dune, ended up buying them a year or so later. Not bad!
Waiting for Throne Of Dune to be released now. Re-Reading Hunters and Sandworms Of Dune now.
