Re: Favicon
I like favicons, but this one isn't really working all that well since it has to be so small. The symbol at TAU makes for a much better favicon, IMO.

Re: Favicon
Actually, yours didn't work. We made that one last night from the photo we found on the web.lotek wrote:yeps i "designed" it (pretty easy to make really)but i could make another one if this one doesn't find its place

I put it up there despite my brother's complaints because I knew that each and every one of us would know exactly what that photo was even though it can't really be seen. That, I think, makes it unique to us.

I'm digging the new icon, but at first squint it looked like a distant photograph of SandChigger...

It's really funny you thought that, because winter before last I was letting my beard grow really long in order to try and copy that photo for a laugh. Eventually gave up because the beard was driving me crazy.

Refer to a DN's whining : they should have found the idea first!

Re: Favicon
Yep, my chigger favicon is from November '07.
Browsers have been automatically asking for them, even without the link code in the page headers, for as long as I've had HToD. If I don't have a favicon.ico file in each subdomain, I get messages in the error.log.
(Someone somewhere's browser keep asking for a GIF favicon when hitting the Condorance subdomain, so I recently made one up and lobbed it into the directory.)

Re: Favicon
We looked at HToD when trying to figure out how to do it. Blogs make it simple. Phpbb boards really do not.SandChigger wrote:Yep, my chigger favicon is from November '07.

Re: Favicon
Really? I forget who posted it now, but basically you just have to lob a copy into every subdomain on your site.
You can also add these lines of code to files as needed (I haven't, very widely):

Code: Select all
