How hot are you?
When there's nothing to talk about, weather-talk saves the day!
Had any special and unusual weather phenomanon happen in your neck of the woods? 'Tis be the bitterest winter in 50 years?
Tell us so we may be lifted from boredom as well!
I was going to ask for a new weather-only forum to open, maybe with sub-forums about different continents and above sea-level elevation areas, but decided not to push it.
So I'll start. Last week we've had temperatures rising to summer-like, and had dust fog cover the whole area from dawn to dusk for days even with steady eastern(Arabian desert) wind.
'Twas really sweltering and stiffling beneath this blanket of dust, but since yesterday it broke and we've had a nice temperature drop back to the 10-20C area at night(days are still sunny and kinda hot, 25-30C I'd hazard to say).

Our winter is a rainy season at my elevation. The High Sierra rise just west of my city, in the direction of the prevaililng winds, so we get rain dumped on us all winter and the High Sierras get snow. This winter the rain was heavy and the snow was deep. I mean really heavy and deep. I think we have several years worth of droubt saved up in the mountians now, whereas going into winter we were at all time lows in all of our reservoirs. The clouds were so thick that they made it over the High Sierras almost daily and actually rained quite a bit on the great desert beyond, where Reno is. They got flooded more this year than they ever have before. Fortuntely our levys held well this year.

That's pathetic, Freak. That's, what, 15-20 years since you had that picture taken?
That's like Mandy showing us a pic from the early 90's when she was still young only slightly below average looking.
JK, Mandy, you know I love you! Marry me! I promise not to cheat on you...much.

Hundreds of millions of dollars in damage, not to mention lost sports and convention revenue.

We're having warm, sunny days with chilly nights, probably perfect weather, even if I prefer chilly days as well myself.
Had like 2 days of suffocating and hot weather last week, but now it's all OK.
I'm quite surprised it's not warmer now, I think april here usually starts getting very hot.

No, I meant REAL flowers (tulips and other such), not THAT. If we're talking about THAT (again ), I have different names for it, depending on the season, time of day, degree of "attention" it's standing at...but I'm not obsessed with it, or anything. Like you seem to be.
But...was for the "wilting" and general size...let's just say that every time I see it, I feel like an important government research facility.
You know, one with a MASSIVE ENDOWMENT!
