Spanish Dune Fan Film

Thread's been dead for a month, but it's new to me, soo...the only reason I ever heard about this film was because it was being killed. From the images I've seen, things were looking great - I loved the groundcars! - and it was amazing just to see people taking the book so seriously. I mean, they included Feyd's birthday combat!

I hope this someday gets released in some form, It's probably better than anything Hollywood would do.

I don't think they'll even be showing it at home to people they don't know very well from the sounds of it. As Freak said, I think the HLP's lawyers threatened them pretty hardcore.

Simon's comic is fine (not that I'm complaining about that). Everyone else's fan art and fan fiction is fine. But god help you if you try to make a fan movie while they are working on securing a movie deal. God help you. I gauran-fucking-tee that if the HLP had been working on getting a comic book deal Simon would have had lawyers up his ass the second he emailed them about doing his fan comic.

I saw it once at youtube.

The trailer's visual was very nice, but I didn't go into the actors acting, it was very amateour, but it was ok...

I would like to see the whole movie...they could make a torrent of it...

Yea, can't they just release it as a 'fan film' if they don't intend to make money on it? Of course, I'm sure they WOULD like to make money though - at least to cover the costs!
