Serkanner
I am not too great at writing introductions, so I will keep this short.
I joined the online Dune community late 2001 as Nicolai Serkanner when I found a site called: "Dreamers of Dune". My entire online existence was limited around that site for quite some time because I only had access to the net at work.
My presence on the internet increased when I got my first DLS connection in 2003. Since then I am wandering around daily on multiple sites and communities. Via DoD I met Laura and we have been together since 2004 when she moved from Romania to Holland.
I still visit Dune related sites but most of the time I stay quiet because I get banned easily for my us of too strong and not very subtle language regarding the "new" dune. Although I am not banned yet from the official site I am a Cast Out.

Welcome, Nice to meet you!
“But what is the good of friendship if one cannot say exactly what one means? Anybody can say charming things and try to please and to flatter, but a true friend always says unpleasant things, and does not mind giving pain. Indeed, if he is a really true friend he prefers it, for he knows that then he is doing good.” -Oscar Wilde

I've made the file size very generous...Omphalos wrote:Serkanner, please go with the reduced avatar. Im pulling that down again. Link to one that is within the guidelines on the profiles page, 180 * 180 IIRC.
If you need assistance in shrinking the avatar to an acceptable size, please give me a link to the original and Ill do it for you.
Thanks
(I sure wish I could upload files to the server)

Welcome to our humble hive of scum and villany! *oops, wrong desert planet*
JK on the "not trusting" part, I never trust anyone!

I still remember hearing a similar excuse from a certain troll for why he was happening to share an IP address with another user, both taking on a certain side and backing eachother up with closely related babblings...sorry, but it came to my because one of the users was supposedly from Holland as well, and so I've never trusted any dutchman since my innocence was so abused.Tleilax Master B wrote:Am I understanding you correctly, you met you current signficant other on a Dune forum and moved together?Wow!

In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.
I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

Blast! I must have re-sized thousands of pictures the last few years but with this bloody avatar I keep doing it wrong.
Thank you all for the welcome. Never expected to see fourteen replies in so short a time. Must be because of the large number of outcasts.
I have indeed met my better half via Dreamers of Dune website ( where we were Nicolai Serkanner and Ghanima from Romania ). We now live in Den Haag in The Netherlands and besides "noapte buna"I speak no Romanian at all. Laura speaks Dutch rather well, so no need for me to learn Romanian. Besides, we communicate mainly in English anyway.
