Durrrrrr, what a piece of shit.
Naturally, I have not received any such request. (So I have sent them one.) Any idea who's behind it?
I guess this explains why TAZ/Superman has been so quiet lately. (Any doubt he's behind those animated gifs? Jonathan, eh? Doesn't sound very Hungarian.)

Looks like Kim. Apparently, Dune is a 34 yr. old, married female.SandChigger wrote:Durrrrrr, what a piece of shit.

I think it definitely smells of TAZ. I think he's the 3rd friend listed. I'm actually a little surprised that he's been able to stay away from the debate this long. He must not be very passionate about his position.SandChigger wrote:I guess this explains why TAZ/Superman has been so quiet lately. (Any doubt he's behind those animated gifs? Jonathan, eh? They beFriended me and even replied to my comment.
I was thinking Brian and Jan had several daughters, but WP says there's just Kim. I've exchanged msgs over there with her, which makes the "nice to meet you" comment a bit weird, but maybe it's just for appearances.
Byron has posted on the Mr Teg thread that Peggy had only sons, so that takes care of the third generation. Unless it's one of his sisters-in-law I guess it must be Kim. Hmm.
Love a mystery!

Double-posting but...
When I last looked yesterday, the account already had over 400 Friends. The oldest comment was from around the 22nd, so that's a lot of lovin' for less than a week, huh.
That word "Official" has quite a bit of power, doesn't it?

There's nothing "Official" about what they're doing on myspace. I can't even look at that bastard for more than a few seconds without getting pissed.
Tired of being marginalized?
Tired of Preek Trolls goading you into conversations and then being moderated out of your favorite sites?
Sick of being locked out of your favorite message boards and losing access to all of the discussions you've participated in over the last two years?
Jacurutu is the "Official" Spot for all the Dune news you don't want to lose!

Hear, hear!
When you think about it, you have to wonder what the point of setting up that page is. Are they going to post "Dune" news on the page and/or blog there? Isn't that what the official site is for?
Or is it just another feel-good status thing, mostly for the PreekSeekInterqueeks?
"What? You're not a Friend of the Official Dune Page? What kind of a fan ARE you, anyway?"
Harrumph.

I don't think it was anything too bad. I don't have anything to quote, but it was something about asking what that site will offer the Dune fan that Dune Novels would not. I think it's a good question and I'm hoping that it's not just another mirror for KJA's blahg.SandChigger wrote:What was your comment?
