Best way to deal with it is to develop coping skills. Profanity is part of life; dealing with it isn't endorsement, it's learning to cope. If you can't even handle someone throwing profanity your way, how are you going to deal with more serious circumstances? One of the biggest mistakes we're making as a society is sheltering and shielding everyone and everything from being offended, and it's costing us our own social survival skills.dm1215 wrote:I don't mind the occasional curse word whenver its appropriate. Trust me, you'll be a much better person if you learn to deal confidently with some foul language. Think of it as an opportunity to learn, in much the same way most of us are still learning to tolerate SandChigger

So what is a kike do you think?
(Yes, I am by far the hardest to tolerate.)

Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

I disagree...It's so much fun to find the bitchesbryanvdk wrote:random thought. i had read the discussion earlier (might have been on T(A)U) about how once all the big posters there get kicked off and discussion there begins to stagnate Jacurutu will hopefully reach critical mass and become the new (un)official dune forum. I figure if lots of people from DN migrate here, we might as well know who they are.
plus there have been people who joined and then discussion about who people hypothesize they might be from DN etc and i just figure get it out in the open, join with the same name or at least indicate who you were.

I think that either using the same handle or letting everyone know about previous handles pretty much goes without saying. Anyone who is going to change their handle (and not disclose their previous IDs) is looking for anonymity and won't bother following rules - most of the people who would want a secret identity are probably planning on breaking other rules anyways.
And yes, it is fun ferreting them out.

Well, I think we are all smart enough to figure out who's who, though you suckas still havent figured out that I am arnie.
But if someone whats a clean slate and wants to come over here and not let us know what their preek-identity is, well, I cant say that I blame them. Nobody should have to do that. And I think that this place should remain casual and as friendly as it can.
