2008 Adaptation Costume Design
Turns out one of my favorite costume designers Joseph Porro worked on the unproduced 2008 version of a Dune adaptation.

2008? Which adaptation attempt was that? Not the Berg attempt, correct? I think that was 2010.
Any more information on the 2008 attempt?

Joseph's site only provided the date, so I didn't want to specify it as the Berg adaptation. It very well could be. Productions last a long time and at this point they might not have even had an attached director until Berg a couple years later.

Again with the weird hats. WTF?
Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

Weird hats scream 'The Future' in Hollywood apparently.

As my other half called the 2000 miniseries "Funny Hats of Dune".
Regardless, I like the Fremen designs, as well of that of the Emperor. A rather Persian, though appropriate, look for him.

Re: 2008 Adaptation Costume Design
People – and in particular the upper classes – have worn a variety of weird hats and headdresses throughout history, so this seems no more than realistic. The costume designs look pretty bad otherwise though, IMO.Freakzilla wrote:Again with the weird hats. WTF?

Typical for Hollywood. They make a remake of a prior film - or rather borrow elements from them - rather than adapt the work themselves.Freakzilla wrote:Again with the weird hats. WTF?
