Time to start looking for an ARC. Should I re-read the Dune cycle first to bone up on it...or save it for later when I will need a purging...
And that's not a dragon in the background. Haven't you learned anything? its an Ultra Dragon.

So my wife gave birth to triplets last october (we now have 4 kids total a 3 year old and 3 one year olds), which has taken me away from this site and many other sites. I come back and find another garbage Mcdune novel has been announced.

Their faculty to go beyond whatever stupid joke I come up with is astounding. That's probably the only time this word will be employed to describe their writing.
Prof. David Nutt... why do they always have crazy names ?
It explains quite a lot of things apparently. (on a side note, it seems its molecule might have had something to do with human evolution but thanks to our beloved protectors that would never let a bad drug destroy us, only the good ones, we'll have to wait a little bit longer to dwelve into that. Re: Mentats of Dune
I doubt that the unidentified flying critter/thing on the cover is a dragon, or ultra dragon, at all. It's probably just an pre-ornithopter or some other kind of flying machine.

Re: Mentats of Dune
Well, the flying critter in front of the moons looks dragon-like, and the other three critters look like giant manta ray seagulls. It could be that they are supposed to be giant flying lifeforms which hung around the homeworld of the Mentat school long before they became extinct by the timeline of the original Dune. Still, the images are so small, it could be that they are aerial craft shaped like flying mythical animals. I mean, after all, ornithopters resemble birds or insects, so why no have giant flying craft that look like Puff the Magic Dragon or Gigantic Aquatic Seabirds? The Mentats need more varieties of stimulation besides exams and overdosing on Sapho juice.

Exactly my thoughts. It's a fucking dragon that the hack's bitch imagined would be "suitable for Dune."Serkanner wrote:Jezus, you sound like the Hack trying to explain something utterly obvious away.

I was merely being humorous about why I think they were vehicles instead of dragons. I'm not justifying the existence of dragons or giant seagulls on the cover, nor am I defending the actions of the Hacks. There's no need to take me literally.Omphalos wrote:Exactly my thoughts. It's possible that some Bene Gesserit ladies like Mentats when they turn into Intellectual Cool Dragon Dudes, too.
