Howdy from a long-time DUNE fan.
Hello all. Like many of my age (39) I was introduced to DUNE when the publicity for the Lynch film began heating up. I wasn't a huge sci-fi fan at that time; I was more into horror, which is why some of the more unpleasant images from the film (the Baron's skin disease, etc) caught my attention. I went out and picked up the paperback after seeing the film, and the rest is history.....I have a complete set of autographed first editions of the DUNE series, as well as signed firsts of GREEN BRAIN and DESTINATION: VOID. I also keep paperbacks of the KJA/FH novels around for cleaning the toilet and throwing into septic tanks.

Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.
