Shield and knief (sword) fights in Heretics / Chapterhous?

My question is, if there are fights with shields and swords ( knifes ) in Heretics / Chapterhous...?

No, shields are no longer in common use by that time. They were banned by Leto II. Lasguns seem to be the prefered weapon.

But Chapterhouse especially was a big shift from the old Dune warfare, when you read the Bashar's description of the attack on Gammu for example. All the weaponry and tactics are entirely different since shields are not an option anymore.

I believe Duncan and Teg trained with swords.

But when it came to killing, Teg cut them in half with a lazgun.

There was also a statement that shields and swords had only worked as long as the Landsraad and Guild had been able to enforce Marquess of Queensberry rules. After the scattering, that ended.
