Somewhat good news everyone!
House Atreides is no longer on display at the Sci-Fi Museum in the EMP. Unfortunately theres now only a tiny little display of the 40th anniversary edition of Dune buried halfway in sand with a quote behind it. its paul and mohiams dialogue about the gom jabbar before its administered. That place has been castrated over the last two years to make room for an avatar exhibit and a horror exhibit. The crysknife and stilsuit are gone, so's paul allens first edition of dune. until they re-model again the place isn't worth the $20 admission.
Kevin J. Anderson is so stupid he thinks he invented The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen since he wrote the movie tie-in.

Damn, that sucks. I went to that place one time a while ago and it was pretty cool...mostly Star Wars and Star Trek kinda stuff, but still a lot of good memorabilia from SF literature. Oh yeah and fuck Avatar.

I don't know which is worse, that they put ultrashitty fanfic in a Dune exhibit, or that it was removed to make room for an Avatar exhibit.

If they replace Dune with shit, they can replace that same shit with new shit.

What do you put in an Avatar exhibit? Coloured ping-pong balls on sticks?

I was thinking more in terms of this sort of thing:
[
]
(Maybe "tennis balls" would have been more correct )

at the avatar exhibit there was that full size mech, a bunch of creature sculptures, miniature busts of the main charachters, some models of human habitats, a motion capture booth to put yourself into a scene in the movie and not much else. the walls were covered in black outlines showing the real size of the thundersmurfs and their bows and other stuff.
