I like that delicate way you have of making yourself at home here, so as far as I'm concerned you can go suck it somewhere else.

Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

I honestly don't think you've been here long enough to start randomly insulting people...
I have to concur. Nothing Shaitan did in that post or any others I can recall warranted being called a "douchewipe". Knock it off.

The Venture Brothers on [adult swim] seems to pay subtle homage to elements from Dune Messiah and God Emperor of Dune. The title characters, who are a parody of the Hardy Boys, are described by their Dr. Quest-like father as being "death-prone," so he's kept hundreds of back-up clones for both boys in water tanks in case his boys die. The clone boys retrieve their old memories from bed capsules which are responsible for their (extremely outdated) education, except for the memories of when they die. In a two-parter episode in season 3, the blonde boy Hank remembers vaguely the time he died by dressing up in a lame Batman outfit and trying to fly off the roof with an umbrella. It's possible that the creators may integrate a memory-trigger a la Dune Messiah, or a la Heretics of Dune, where the Venture Brothers will remember everything, including their deaths. Recently, all the backup clones were destroyed, so the father and bodyguard have been making an effort to keep the current clones still living. So far, one son has finally lost his virginity, and the other has learned to swear. Nothing else Dune-related, besides the many Duncan Idaho ghola angle on the Hardy Boys.

There's also a supervillain guild known as The Guild of Calamitous Intent, but no references to the Spacing Guild anywhere.
'...all those who took part in the rise and fall of the Dune project learned how to fall one and one thousand times with savage obstinacy until learning how to stand. I remember my old father who, while dying happy, said to me: "My son, in my life, I triumphed because I learned how to fail."' -Alejandro Jodorowsky

Venture Bros also uses the line "Maybe his name is a killing word" in reference to Brock Samson. Pretty sure there was another mention somewhere else...
