We is as in, North Americans, or American Citizens. A lot of Blacks, Hispanics, Orientals, Anglo-Saxons, Extraterrestrials, you know?, fought against the Japanese. Americans man. We Americans come in all forms and skin color. If we would judge people by their actions and not the color of their skin which really means nothing ( a person can be be lilly white and have Negroid and/or Mongoloid blood in them and not know this. This has nothing to do with skin color. Why even mention "white'? The correct term would be Caucosoid which have several skin shades, even a dark complexion, and still be pure Caucosoid, yet a person could be really white and have Negroid and/or Mongoloid blood. Do we know our complete family tree? And, as many wars in our history...is there anyone out there pure white, yellow, or black. Are any of us pure Caucosoid, Mongoloid, or Negroid? Good luck!

History is boring, and we change it to suit our need to think that we are better or more civilized than others. Those Moors leaving in the south of Spain were poets, mathematicians, scholars all, yet the barbaric Visigoths (Spaniards) thought that they were civilized and, of course, had God on their side, and actually they did. 
Yes, they were to a certain extent (Romanized), but they ate with their hands just like the English and the rest of Europe which was ass backwards compared to the Arabs, Moors, Chinese, Japanese. Chinese were eating with chopsticks while the Europeans didn't even know what a fork was. We adopt their ways, and then called them our own. For example, the american cowboys. They learned their trade from the Vaqueros. The Mexicans.
