I used to have Children of Dune on VHS but I stopped watching VHS tapes some time ago.

Just one small detail, mcdune is not Dune :

The movie/series have their flaws but they participated to the myth, the hack and the idiot son just pissed all over it.

Ashamed to say that I have actually enjoyed some of the stuff that Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson have done. I admit it isn't the same as Franks masterpiece but it's entertaining.

be aware that we (speaking of the Orthodox Herbertarians) more than loathe the McDune;
we personally fucking hate the hack known as KEVIN J. ANDERSON, known here as
Keith, Steve, asshat pickle-fucker, that shitheel & various other derogatory AKAs ...
(the hate for Keith's person is well documented here, from his twits & blahgs (updated daily))

know also that despite claims from the KJA Special Forcers, we are all fair & open-minded;
BUT: to date, the only hint of even minimal acceptance of the McDune is what is known as
the "Simon Defense" - yeah, it's really juvenile bullshit & a rape of Frank's Literary Legacy,
but ... I kinda like juvenile bullshit ... I read StarWars & Warhammer, too, but I don't think that
stuff is literature in the way Frank's Dune is.

also be aware that some here donot accept the "Simon Defense" anyway ....

take all of this into consideration, wander around the sietch, and I'll hold your Water on reserve ...

@EoB: you'll find a number of threads around here from the past 4 years concerning the sietch's google-rank
versus the Official Corporate Dune Forum (which is at the bottom of page two for me ....)

it almost warms our cold, dead hearts to finally be able to steer the Innocent away from "Over There", atleast
