Question about Arabic words

I suppose this is more fitting for the local linguistics here, but I am having an issue grasping at any sort of understandable concepts about time in Arabic languages. I suppose maybe because I don't have the ability to read it, that it poses a problem. Does anyone know the anglicized Arabic words for temporal passage?

What exactly are you looking for? "Arabic words for temporal passage"... you mean the words for things like "day", "night", "month", "year", etc?

Perhaps something that relates to "Infinity" or "A time that never ends". Specifically anything to do with the concept of time's passage, as well. I am attempting to come up with a working title for a project, and I have been looking around for foreign words.

I was under the impression Sha'i Hulud was an interpretation of deification, and Hulud was the specific definition "Home." I dunno. I know that the Fremen hold Shai Hulud as the deification of Earth in physical form.

As far as I know the literal translation is basically A Thing of Eternity, hence my screen name. So I'm betting one word means "thing" and the other might be something like you're looking for.

That would make sense. I know Sha'i is a deified name of some sort.

I have no idea if it makes sense really, just my uninformed logic working on that one! My Arabic is limited to using their written numerals, "Shai Hulud" and a few other phrases from Dune, Allah Ackbar, and I think sallam (no idea how to spell it) is some kind of greeting but I don't have any clue what the meaning is.

Neat, I like how both the 2 in the middle make sense in context, I guess it's logical that a word about "forever" would have some relation to divinity.

These two, I should think. "Harq al-Ada" is another example of where FH simplified an initial kh- to just h-.
