Me?
Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

heard frank interviewed on the radio back when heritics was just out.
said the story kept his interest because of suprises in it for him as the author
the one suprise he then mentioned was duncan starting to do what he wanted in the story,
not what frank did

I cannot find it at present but I think they wanted to see if the pearls of awareness would react to Idaho and they wanted him to bind Sheena. Lucilla may have imprinted him then then given him pointers according to the original plan. After they discovered the Tleilaxu tampering he got to show men how to use the ole in and out to bond HMs. As for why frank continued to use him, I agree with the common thread notion.
