Ever heard of satellite dish? cost can be kinda prohibative, but you can get about half a megabyte down speed or more depending on carrier(hugh's net is one, smaller regional carriers also), about 10-20 times faster than dialup there partner. Just aim UP to the Southern Sky.

I fully expect within 5 years that Dish network, direct TV will combine dish tv/dish interent in one device and one price.. just havent quite got the bandwidth yet, but they are working on it. Stay tuned
