The only difference is that Shatner is a douche with style, while KJA is a douche with no style.

Shatner was Captain Kirk, Keith was... a schmuck? I don't think it's even fair to compare the two.

You know, now that I look again I'd say he appears to be a balding cross of bloated-Shatner and Gilbert Gottfried.

Shit, can you imagine how bad it would be if he didn't go on his incline walks every few weeks.

(Is he even still tweeting about that shit? Maybe he did stop.)

Generally, the WRITING part takes place early in the morning — I
have my coffee and breakfast, work out, and then go out with the
digital recorder to do two chapters on the trail.

I do two chapters a day, sometimes more. That’s about 4000 words.

Again, since I write while walking, I get exercise every time I do a
chapter, but I also work out in the home gym every morning.

Does anyone know where to go to get Christopher Walkin to read selected kj-quotes?

At last, cover for HELLHOLE AWAKENING

Kevin J. Anderson
Monday, 6:53 PM

And I think it’s awesome. Another brilliant painting by Stephen Youll.

Brian Herbert and I have delivered the final manuscript. The novel comes out in February 2013. And in two weeks, I’ll be flying up to stay with Brian so we start the full-on brainstorming for MENTATS OF DUNE.
pre-haters to the left,
nay-sayers to the right ....

the full-on brainstorming for MENTATS OF DUNE.
brainstorming for mentats ? Did he really say that ?
What a tool...

And again, that title is so ludicrous in how it fails to understand why the original titles are so cool. Well first because they had nothing to do with those. And also and mainly because they conveyed something deep about the story, saying in one simple word the complexity of what lied ahead.

Mentats of Dune ?
wtf did Mentats have to do with Dune ?

Take Children of Dune for example, that was about the most important children on the whole damn planet, not just a stupid made in label ! So quite rightly, the beautiful simplicity of it let your imagination roam free and fill... in... the... bloody... gaps... your blooming self !

Monkeys imitating humans, hack imitating writers, I can't tell them apart anymore.

Well we can start brainstorming the real name of the book.

I'll start with the obvious: Mentards of Due.

I think the name says a lot about their creativity. Even the first six books aren't all "Of Dune".

Dune Academy, Young Jedune Knights, and Force of Dune. Repetitive milk/rape hybrid of Dune.

But seriously...Why not Dune: Origins, or Genesis Dune. Dune Prophet/Prophecy. Dune Awakening, Sleeping Dune. The Harbingers of Spice and Dreams.

No, we get Fucktards of Dune. "Now Shitterhood makes Sense!" -TOR

I wonder if TOR is crying looking at the contract they made to publish the Hellhole trilogy. Heck they should start marketing them as a "Limited Edition Hardcover" and numbering them, might bump up sales.

if I may borrow your title and add this : Mentards of over Due

Considering how deadlines and quantity are the epitome of style for this fraud, it's only fitting he was reminded of that fact too.

He sure knows how to keep the hate alive doesn't he ?

Mentards of Dude I love it.

It shoulda been a comic book. Betcha there's gonna be a "pre-ghola" of SupaDunky in it.

These guys aren't capable of writing a mentat arriving at a prime computation. It'll take KJA two pages to write:

"Duncan flatulated a few moments, and seemed to draw into himself, backwards. Then he popped up and said: 'I have to poop. Prime computation.' "

Yeah it's pretty pathetic seeing the Mentat School in Shitterhood. I mean most of the shit that happens, you, the reader could work out with the available details. Yet Mentats don't even consider it.

Because they are being written by a hack with a 4 second short term memory. Were talking about someone who's answer to the question "Have I blown myself today?" is "Can I taste toothpaste in my mouth?" and "Is it time to brush my teeth?" by "What'd I eat that was so salty?".

It's bad that I seem to have nailed it without ever reading it. At first I bought them because they had Dune on the cover, and in the title. I opened shittyhood, read one page, and put it back. I'll do the same with Mentards. These butt-effers don't understand the story enough to summarize it in a second grade reading class. "There's this guy! And he's the Kwisinart! And there were BIG WERMS (ew!) RAWR!"

I wish they could write like Frank, I really do. But they can't. What he could do in a sentence they need a chapter for. That's why punters and waterwerms o' d00n were two books each over 800 pages.

Frank wrote what the Butlerian Jihad should have been in one paragraph; God Emperor of Dune, where he describes the Hunter-Killers-that-might-be. First time I read that my mind was blown.

Heck, the screen name I use is from a ship that is mentioned once with 2-3 sentences of story, and paints a grander picture than all 11 books, plus the 3-20 more K-Jah will end up writing.

Brian and Kevin need repetition and small words to tell a paint-by-numbers story, and crow about having written twice as much as Frank.

Quantity does not equal quality. The entire Butlerian Jihad could have been done in 300 pages and still carry all of the important plot elements. Frank also didn't dictate to a cassette recorder and then have some hot, young, but ultimately unremarkable intern transcribe it all. But he did have something to say and these two guys not only haven't picked up on it, they have nothing of their own to add.

You know, the prequels could have been two books, total. The sequels just one. Only the sequel book need be written since the prequels add nothing to Frank's story. But I want those hours back that I spent on the Kevin J. Asshatson debacle.

Ampoliros, the ghost-ship, whose crew are forever at the guns.

Gurensan is just what some Japanese girls I played bass with called me for a while in the 90s. I hate the name now. Shouldn't have used it. But I had to have more than 2 letters.
