Funny Dune take by a non-Duner

Post by Spicelon »

My life long best friend, who I now talk to on the phone maybe three times a
year (we grew up together and are still tight despite our infrequent
interactions), now living in Idaho, who read Dune when he was maybe 14,
just called me because he heard on some Mormon radio station that Frank
Herbert's son was putting out new Dune books. His immediate question to
me was "Frank Herbert is dead, right?" I responded in the positive. He
responded with, "I'm not reading that shit then." And that was the extent of
his "analysis".

:)
Poop is funny.
MetaCugel8262 is not.

That is made out of pure Awesometonium! :)

(and it's true: it really is all you need to know about these new books)
"Anything I write will be remembered and listed in bibliographies on Dune for several hundred years ..." — some delusional halfwit troll.

most of my freinds are too stupid to read even the prequels. It'd make they're brains explode.

My freind who is smart enough to read the orginal has been throughly warned not to touch the KJA books.

Another fighter for the cause!

Didn't KJA say something about his head exploding? Seems like an appropriate parallel :)

Maybe one of the sole man stupid friends is KJA.
The singular multiplicity of this universe draws my deepest attention. It is a thing of ultimate beauty.

The first thing I was told, when I picked up Dune, was not to read anything by P&B...I wish I had listened!

You should find the person who told you that and give them this place's address.
