Did she actually say anything? I did notice the turkey-slaying in the background though.

Had mine back in mid-October... Same idea in Canada, except that it seems waaay less of a big deal here.

Duncan, your signature is very disturbing :)
Of course, Norton in neo-nazi mode was scary enough, but Burger King on top of it is just bone-chilling :)

Granted, I think McDonald's is overrated but I'm not sure The Burger King should be indulging his fantasies like that.

As ready as I'll be. Eating over at my brother-n-law's this year. His fiancee and I will be 'trying' to cook the dinner. Should be interesting.

Heading down to "Little Texas" tomorrow (well, today already): the guy I work with that has lunch with Teg and me sometimes is having a bunch of people over. He smokes meats. I expect to die from a food overdose! :D

I'm going to cook at my house for Thanksgiving for the first time in it. Just traditional roasted turkey with andouille saugasge dressing, vegetables, beer, football, etc...

I'm doing a pork loin in the crock pot, marinating it in orange juice and cranberry sauce with a blend of fresh herbs and spices, homemade mash taters with gravy made from the loin drippings, sweet corn, salad greens, pumpkin pie, apple pie, with homemade whip creme, and beer and wine.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yadda yadda. Maybe at checkers or cards, right?

That or you'll be beating something else. There's always a selection of it at this holiday: turkey, ham, lamb, chicken. ;)

You shouldn't talk while you're eating. Besides, John Wayne was dumb.

out of kindness, I suppose, I held off last night on this one.

John Wayne is epitome of what is tragically wrong with my country.

nah, I guess I meant America in general.

Altho, in my later years, I've come around to the Kinky Freidman POV
that Texas is still legally Mexican territory. I like to say this alot around
my friends and neighbors at high school football games when I refuse to
take my Dale Junior cap off while the band plays the Star Spangled Banner.
I really enjoy the looks on their faces, kinda like the ones I got when I
passed out Obama stickers at a Sons of Confederate Veterans meeting.
