Funny you should mention that. I was just playing the Lego Indiana Jones last night. There is no way we'll see this in Dune form. Though it would be cool. The HLP has dedicated itself to saying "no" to any project that comes it's way unless they can turn it to shit.

on leg DUNE

Ugh...

I don't see how. Dune is too much complicated and adult for that sort of thing, not like STAWARS or even INDIANA JONES. But I do think if the movie's mainstream enough we'll probably see some kind of first person shooter, or something shit.

who me ? fuck no, I'm dead serious. We will see Lego Dune, or something equally juvenile & whorish released along with the New Movie, depending on the incompetence of the HLP, of course.

You ain't seen the PoS GummiWorms of Dune, huh ?

The GummiWorms are another nonexistant product intended to comment on the whoring of Dune.

Nonexistent, you mean? I personally have eaten them and crapped them out. To my eternal shame, I did not have a copy of Hunters handy to finish up with afterwards.

Sorry, I'm not following what you mean here, either.

Omph has eaten them, as has Simon; Freak has (or had) some, too. Many people have mentioned them and KJA himself has blawgged about giving them away.

???

Well...color me retarded.

Still...are those sold anywhere besides conventions? I would think that the tone is intended to be somewhat ironic, no, rather than a completely straight faced attempt to cash in?

You ate them? I heard they were made with real preek juice to KJA's own special recipe.

no. they were dead fucking serious, too. Maybe a tiny bit tongue in cheek, like, ain't we cute ? but no, it was another indication of their perception of the mindset of their perceived audience. Simon loved them and told us all so.

no, sadly it was all too real. we gots pictures to prove it somewhere around here ....

Kevin will be great worm that Paul calls for his ride.

Kevin dreams of Paul riding him. (It doesn't matter that the ROLE (N.B. Simon!) hasn't been filled yet, any Paul will do.)

Brian will be some old unwashed pyon scum that gets trampled in an Arrakeen crowd.

WATCH FOR THEM! ;)

Yeah, it was from Reality Bites. It's actually not a very good movie, but there are some good lines in it.

"Hello, you've reached the winter of our discontent.

There's no point to any of this. It's all just a random lottery of meaningless tragedy and a series of near escapes.
"
