Well, here goes part 2 of Da Introduction...

I studied Mathematics and then went into the health insurance business where I now work at a private health insurer developing new health insurance products, recalculating them on a yearly basis, pricing group insurances for german companies. Sometimes I take part in projects for establishing health insurance in other countries (eg Korea). Well, that basically covers it.

"Insurance. I was an investigator. I'd investigate claims to see which ones were phony. I had to see through people's bullshit. It was useful experience, because now it's my life. When I meet someone, I don't even know if I've met them before. I have to look in their eyes and just figure them out. My job taught me that the best way to find out what someone knew was to let them talk. Just listen and watch the eyes, the body language. If someone touches their nose while they're talking, experts will tell you it means they're lying. It really means they're nervous, and people get nervous for all sorts of reasons. It's all about context."  :P

I work Security for a high school in Kansas City Kansas, but in the Summer I'm working for the technology department. Installing new computers at the High School and schlepping all the old HS computers to the Middle School, installing the old Middle School computers at the various Elemetary Schools. Everybody goes up a notch.

Yeah, it really helps the morale when one's employed in a "field" that not only makes about a third of the minimum wage, but also has to rely on the generosity of strangers for the rest

It's not bad, but paying for university is definitely gonna take a long time.

Our jobs

Post by lotek »

Now that I landed myself a from all accounts what looks like the dream job for me, I am not ashamed anymore and I can bring that subject up :)
In fact I've done quite a few different jobs, from cleaner in a rest home to loading up meat trucks in a giant slaughterhouse and even carrying the coffin at burials!
Testing video games came later by "chance" i stumbled upon that ad from my former temp agency(don't forget ze germanz)and it changed my life(really)

So now I'm a bit curious as to what people here do, cause even if we all have in common that hate for mcdunes and the hack(oops not hate this is not a hate site_hate site be hatin'), we've all got different backgrounds and such.
