A plea from the true Scytale...

Post by True Scytale »

Greetings, servants of Shaitan!

Having survived misquotes, Atreides propaganda, machinations of the God emperor, repeated character assassination, a lot of bad powindah food and general degradation, I have finally decided to emerge from my righteous indignation and set the record straight. 5,000 years of strugging against the encroachments of the infidel, and in particular the blandishments of those Bene Gesserit witches, have left me in need of telling the full story of my life and you can now read my memoirs at:

Welcome! Is it correct that I read your story "I, Scytale" about two years ago? If so, I was very impressed by its quality.

Well, moshi moshi is the telephone only greeting in Japan and I thought it would be funny if I used it's origin as a greeting for this introduction thread. Like I said, I'm simply running out of ways to creatively say "hello" :)

Kinda figured it was something like that.

It unfortunately sets up someone who understands it with an expectation that something momentous is about to be conveyed...and then....Phlthp. Almost like when, in a samurai movie, on a battlefield, a messenger comes running up and prostrates himself before his lord and breathlessly announces he bears an important message.

And then dies before he can relate it. :D

(Of course, in that situation, the messenger would usually have said Moushi-agemasu! Much more deferential. ;) )

Hi Scytale, loved the story.

Now please don't take offence at this, but if you can write fan-fiction like that, then why can't two "professional" writers come up with with books continuing the series which are even half as good at least?

sorry for the rant at the hacks twain, welcome to Jacurutu!
