I haven't been paying too much attention to KJA's blog lately (YAWN!) but decided to have a quick look at the RSS feed (that "Bring back Vorian" interloper post is still in the feed, btw. ) and really read the preface text in the WoD tour post (July 7) for the first time. Was reminded of this thread when this caught my eye:

Since I can't make any of the signings this year (either), do you think it would be in bad taste to try to find out what hotels they're staying in and have Brian's room sent complementary booze?

(Have we properly harped on the extreme lack of moral fiber and individual will that alcoholism betrays?)


By the way, guys, GP will be OK initially since no one knows what he looks like, but BB will have to go disguised, since his face is all over Facebook.

And that's the thing about signings: they are fanboy love-fests. Dissent is not tolerated. Telling KJA where he can stick his books would only result in ejection from the store, nothing more.

Got a good prank to pull on him. This happened to my co-worker a few week ago when we were in Cleveland.

In the middle of the night he got a call from the front desk saying that he should not go out of his room because someone had brought a bobcat into the hotel and let it loose in the hall on his floor. They told my buddy that they wanted to get the cat out of the hotel through his room. They wanted him to rip the toilet seat off of his commode adn throw it through the (third story) window, then open room his door and hide in the bathroom tub with his door closed. It was about this time that my friend started waking up and though "maybe I'd better call downstairs first." Of course it was a prank, but I can just imagine some guys outside of his room waiting for a flying toilet seat to strike a car in the parking lot below, laughing their asses off.

Last week we saw in the Sacramento paper that someone in Florida had fallen for something similar.
