Im going to see it today.

OK. Just got back. That was pretty fucking cool. Though I think I left my sense of disbelief at the office today.

Yeah, it's a comic book movie, so logic goes out the window. But like I said, who cares when you're having so much fun. This is one piece of popular entertainment that gets the "fun" part dead solid perfect

On my list of to see this summer.

I liked all the Spider Man movies too, only because I had a low expectation.

Something I was thinking about after the movie ended...Since I could't see this "end credits" thing, I assume it's a clue about the sequel? There's gotta be a sequel, they like money . Don't tell what it is though, don't want to ruin it.

But anyway, while being a very fun movie, it seemed like 80% of it was preperations, building and testing the suit etc, and very few actual battle scenes.

I suppose since it's the first in a series($$$) it was the exposition, the introduction to what Iron Man is(to the movie goer at least), so the next ones will get to the actin faster.

It's not that I need more explosions, but...do you get my point? It was slower going because they needed to introduce it.

Actually, its a set up for a sequel and possibly two other movies as well. if you are into Marvel Universe stuff, it should get you all in a tizzy.

At least I'm not imagining things. Not really a comic fan though, I think all those twists and turns and soap-opera dramas are rediculous and ruin something that's supposed to be just "cool"(at least the usual super-hero jenre like spiderman etc).

I want another X Men movie though.

I think I liked the movie not so much for the hero side of it, which was really sublimated with a "hero" like Tony Stark, but more for the battle-armor/mech side of it. I cant wait til they get the stealth armor our. That is gonna be cool.

We do family movie night every Friday. Tonight its that Johnny Depp pirate movie. Then off to bed with the kiddos so I can get my SF groove on with everything I managed to capture on DVR during the week, including BSG.

I enjoyed the movie, both times I've seen it. I think the first time was better, though.

I admit that after I got out of the theatre, the first thing I said to my friends was, "That was awesome. But I had to not think about physics for 2 hours, because they kind of forgot about it."

I think the coolest piece of technology in the entire film was the sarcastic AI, though. The 3.6 gJ/s arc reactor thingy was the second coolest. The Iron Man suit was sadly one of the less impressive fictional devices in the movie. Did I say sadly? I mean, sweet!

But really. I know superhero movies tend to bend the rules of physics, but this movie just decided that their application really wasn't that important. I think Iron Man/Tony Stark died 4 or 5 times before he even got to the superheroing.

Umm, movies? Is there any physics in the original comics themselves?

And yea, I was thinking "oh sure his suit may handle all the stuff, but every time he gets a little hit or does a tight turn in mid-air he's squished inside".

seen this movie 2 days ago..talk about fucking awesome....the beginning has one of the best beginnings i've ever seen in a movie...when he starts using the first suit..fucking awesome
