Well, can't say I lost any trust in them for this. I would have had to have some to begin with to do that(umm, I'm getting a short circuit in my brain here...did I put too many "have/had"? ).

Neutral my ass.

Any country that requires adult males to own a gun and serve in the armed forces is OK with me. I think they're up to something, better keep an eye on them.

You're totally awesome! I am humbled by your tremendous creativity, your never-ending realm of imagination, and I eternally grateful to be living in the same century with you! I cannot wait to read the new series, and I am saying this while I’m still loving every word of the last book in the Saga of the Seven Suns series. I have “infected” everybody in my family with your writings, and now they’re addicted, and I have to send them your books as soon as they come out, because they don’t get them there (in Switzerland) until 6 months later. Thank you!

That is just ONE among many, unfortunately.

I loved that "eternally grateful to be living in the same century with you!" THAT was choice A-grade USDA-approved suction.

What's really sad about it, though, is that before reading that I'd had a really favorable impression of the Swiss. :(
I wish I could still post on KJA's myspace. Those were good times. :(

YOU?! One of his biggest supporters?!

It would almost be worth it to make a new account just to blow smoke up his butt. ;)

Well, Arnie is still as evasive as ever everytime Freak destroys his arguments, meaning he transforms himself into sunnypuke and posts incoherent links in fear to admit that he is wrong all the time...

I just can't believe people are debating with him and are still expecting a real discussion, when it's pretty obvious that all he cares about is to link his daily reads at Wikipedia, suck up to Byron and create shit...

Freak hasn't been banned from DN yet?

I wasn't even allowed access to the forums.

I'm still bitter about that.

I was one of the first to ever be banned, like the second day it was open, when it was still just an actual bulletin board. I appologized and my account was reactivated.

I've tried not to insult the authors personally but it's difficult since I find their "work" a personal insult and an insult to FH. I got strike one recently for calling arnoldo an ignorant fanboy troll so, it's probably inevitable.

I was defriended shortly after I tried to show my support. I still might have a couple of the messages he sent me back though. Those would be fun to repost.

As far as a new account goes, shhhhh.

I do have to say that one use of dune novels forum was that it led me to this forum where I can at least have intelligent conversation with people that aren't arnoldo (that guys is ridiculous)...surely that is a plus?

Arnoloco is a boring knobjockey. When the Ignore button turns up at Dunenovels, watch him shrivel up and die.

Dune Nerd,
I completely agree. I joined dn right before the schism, although I had been lurking there a long time. I really enjoyed the debate (albeit lopsided) that went on over there. It was a lot of fun to read. Not to mention it expanded my view of the original six.

It is now a &!@ (!#%#) !@##!$$!$, !#!#$$$ repository of a typical corporate bs promotiono website. I only check it when I am extremely bored at work.

Which is why I call this seitch home.

I was lurking around DN last night, just reading any thread that was started by someone here. I laughed, I cried, I just might join over there to get in on the quality discussions.

RE: SOUNDS OF SILENCE THREAD

HEY...GET ON THE FUCKING BALL OVER THERE, you guys.

Leto envisioning throwing himself off the top of his Sareer spire caused the Golden Path to wink in and out of existence.

THERE's your example of Leto doing something to "conjure up any possible timeline he wanted" to show to Siona. The machines routing the last humans was a possible future if Leto did something to cause himself to die in such a way as the GP would fail. It wasn't a vision of the past. Come on!

So...since when did Byron become a Dune expert capable of wielding this sort of argument? Someone's behind this sudden spurt, wouldn't you say?
