Hello, all, just joined and this is my first post. I understand it is the custom to introduce oneself:
I read Dune as a teenager and liked it. My attention was revived when I saw Villenueve's movie, so I re-read the books and innocently continued on to McDune, thinking it would be like The Silmarillion, the son's good-faith attempt to put Dad's copious notes and drafts into publishable form. The horror! The horror!
So, between my friends who think that seeing the movie is the same thing as reading the book and internet forums where people think that "Mohiam was the mother of Jessica" is somehow believable , I was delighted to find this forum.
I am of the pre-computer generation and this is my first-ever forum, so bear with me as I get the formatting figured out.
