How have I never known about this 'place' before? Have loved Dune for the longest time, ever since reading it in my adolescence. Re-read a few years later and even moved on to Messiah and then Children. I remember watching the '84 film and wondering how it could have been rendered that way, with Paul as the hero. I had no idea how it could be misunderstood, it seemed (and still seems) obvious to me that Paul Muad'Dib is the anti-hero. Messiah really hammers that home (and I think may have been FH's reason for writing it).
Anyway, this time round on reading Dune I moved through Messiah and Children and have this time added God Emperor into the mix. I have so much I want to discuss and, until stumbling upon these boards, no-one to discuss with. Thank you for existing.
I tried to choose a clever name, but my inner idiot took hold and came up with this puerile affront. I offer no excuses.
