Hello everyone,
I am a long time lurker and I finally decided to register. I joined the "official" board just before the schism. I then moved to keen but I hated the layout. I don't think I ever posted there (not that I ever posted much at the dnbbs).
I actually came to Dune rather late in the game. I first saw the Lynch movie but didn't think much of it. It wasn't until I saw the sci-fi channel mini-series that I thought "I never read those books and I heard they were good." Soon after I went to the bookstore and bought all six. I read them straight through. Bar-none my favorite books, I read all six at least once a year.
I know I never posted much on the other sites but I hope to change that here. You all are much well versed in Dune than I can hope to be. I have enjoyed reading all of your posts in various forums and maybe I'll be able to contribute.
By the way, where are these Dune pdfs? Those would be incredibly handy. Thank you

Just kidding! It's always good to have different points of view. Well, almost always.
On the way...By the way, where are these Dune pdfs? Those would be incredibly handy. Thank you

Welcome!
What's so good about the PDFs is not that they allow easy refrence and quoting(not that I need them, being a virtual walking Dune encyclopedia and all ), but that by using them you're stealing hard-earned money from the HLP.
You're stealing Brian's money with every read. with every little quote.
You're stealing back the money they stole from decieved fans who read their shit.

I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

I got no problem stealing from the HLP. To be honest, I think they owe me a good forty bucks.Freakzilla wrote:That goes without saying.Rakis wrote:Well, i find the post insane, too...Freakzilla wrote:That wasn't a comment on your post, just you.orald wrote:What's insane about stealing our money back from P&B? Actually, I'm quite certain that was German.
