Project "Sietch"

Hi guys!

Sorry if this is not the right forum. I have some news.

In this days Dune Italia created a group named "Dictatel" that is working on a fanzine project named "Sietch".
"Sietch" should have been our official gazette, but it never ran. Only the "number 0" has been published in April 2007.

After all this time we finally decided to resume the "Sietch" and we're writing some articles.

Since our two sites began a friendship I was thinking if somebody would partecipate.

Anybody would like to see his works on our fanzine? Everything dedicated to Dune is well accepted: drawings (they will be very appreciated), poetries, short stories, essay.

Thank you guys!

Pretty neat idea, I'll keep that in mind.

EDIT TO ADD
how did you chose the name "Dictatel" ?

I would suggest the winning entry in the First OH Dune Fan-fiction contest ...

Thanks!

The dictatel was the ixian machine Leto II used to write his journals. I'd thinked it was a good name for an editorial staff.

Ehy, pretty cool. If Talos is in agreement, we will translate it.

For "Dune Humour" I was thinking about Ampoliros' entry for the "Write like KJA contest".

Talos is in agreement. ;)

(You just have to whisper "Rage against the machine!" or "Jihad?" in one of his "ears" and he becomes quite pliable... :P )

Pics or it... Wait a minute, on second thoughts I'll take your word on this.

NB
for the record, I feel uncomfortable with dictatel because it sounds a lot like "dictahike" (for those who don't know : the specific brand of page filling pionneered by tHehAck, where random thoughts muttered in his dictaphone while panting in front of a dvd become what is now known as mcdune)
But don't let that stop you (like it would), but since it is the interwebz I thought people who don't care about my opinion should be allowed to know about it anyway.

Also, I forgot it was that Ixian device,

Glad you enjoyed this news. :)

The fanzine will have a clear "OH orientation", and its first issue will be published approximately next spring.

I really like the idea of publishing Tlezser's short story: I just finished reading it and I enjoyed it a lot; moreover, it'll be perfect for editorial purposes, since it can be published in a single installment, and we were hoping to do our "pilot issue" as self-contained as possible (our early choice was to begin with the publication of "Dune 7: Advent" in installments, but that would be a honerous commitment to substain in many future issues).

We will also aks Ampoliros if he's willing to see translated his entry for the "Write like KJA contest" in our "Dune Humour" section :)

also, if (in the future, certainly not the first issue) you decide to go down the profane anti-KJA & McDune road,
you couldn't find better than Chanilover's "Trannies of Dune" .....

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll surely consider it. ;)
