I built one when I was a kid but it wasn't from a kit. It wasn't as cool as that one, but it DID have an engine that I built inside it (my cousin was in a group of kids that played some kind of role playing game with lego and had specific rules for what makes engines and what makes them go how fast, same with weapons, both involving the clear blocks/parts).

I was never NOT a nerd. Never.

Hell, I had some apprehension mentioning I had a Lego Millenium Falcon but apparently I'm in good company.
