Yeah, pass. I'd sooner spend an evening with my Home Root Canal Kit.

Well, understand that I actually watched ONLY about a minute or two of it and then came here to post about it. And then just left it playing in the background, not even half-listening to him.

But then when he made this noise like he'd just swallowed his own nose, I had to check to see if his face had caved in. More.

It hadn't, but I "rewound" and found the timestamp for it.

By the way, I'm thinking something righteously evil should be done to that "book trailer". And soon.

A video trailer for a book, is this a new thing? Just strikes me as smelly, like a viral for cheeses.

It's the stupidest goddamned thing (the name itself, I mean) that I've ever heard.

I guess they started out as book commercials on specialty channels like SciFi? I think I've seen a few of those when I've been back on my yearly trips, but they don't show them over here. Not that I've seen, at any rate. (Plenty of book talk shows, but not so many "book infomercials".)

As for DizzyJAM's video, I love the way a lot of these people have never heard of the word EDIT.

Fucking amateurs.

Edit: Whoa... I'd forgotten how easy it is to put together a movie from a series of images on the Mac. The QuickTime Player basically does it all for you. Then add background music/sound effects in iMovie and you're done.

Which just makes that "book trailer" look all the more amateurish.

Anyone know of any good sites with endoscopic photos, like taken inside intestines, or of anal sphincters? ;)

A jizzydam is an improvised prophylactic that can be used as either a dental dam or condom, usually a ziploc bag or a piece of saran wrap.

You're just an overflowing founts of... really disturbing information.

I'm assuming that the JizzyDam in question here's face and high voice make him a walking prophylactic. ;) (But then again, stranger beasties seem to have coupled and mated successfully. Right, Pestie? Or did you catch & make yours before the neck explosion?)

I'm having TOO MUCH FUN parodying the "book trailer". :laughing-rolling:

Mainly because it's given me an excuse today (HOLIDAY!!!) to play with my 3D modeling app, Cheetah3D. :D

I did the scene for the fake book cover and exported it as an image and added the titles, with some spurious quotes...

"What are those, buttplugs?" Larry Niven, best-selling author

(Who knew modeling a buttplug could be so easy?! )

I've modeled many a buttplug in my time.

Oh, you mean in *software*.

Really? Which one? :?

Not having any real experience of the things, I was just going from images on the Web. Mine are a bit pointier, but they're supposed to be alien lifeforms.
