In about a week or so I'm going to start going back through the Legends books and filling in the synposis pages on HToD. I'll post a note here when I put them up, and you can get more of a taste.

I always found it to be one of the stupidest things about the Prequels; if the BG (in the form of the Sorceresses) had the ability to suicidally obliterate any human brain within range, they would have held onto that capability in the future when -- as has been mentioned -- it would have come in DAMN handy against enemies like the Honored Matres.

And of course if abilities like those that the "Oracle of Time" displays are possible to be bred in others, that represents a whole 'nother can of worms which Frank would have at least had the foresight to address in some way if it were really part of his vision of the Dune canon.

I actually liked a lot of aspects of the Norma Cenva storyline. But she was way too much of a superbeing. Her abilities practically make the whole rest of the series unnecessary. It seems like she could have resolved the whole Kralizec thing all on her own, the way KJA vomited up....er, I mean wrote it.

Good Lord. At this point, I wouldn't be that surprised to hear there was modulated queefing in McDune. "Relax, Duncan, that was just an ass-fart."

If I recall she had a bunch of kids too, so all her abilities, which include but are not limited to: shape-changing and EMP blasts, should be in the BG gene pool.

And that leads to one of the killer objections to Norma Dea ex Machina: Leto II claimed to have lived her, which means he necessarily was descended from one of her children, and either they or their children would at least have been aware of what happened to their mother, meaning he would have been as well.

Yet the most important thing he can think of to say about her is she had some kids and was the one who really designed the first Guild ship? Right.

BH/KJA need to experience some "guilt casting" for themselves.
