Jacurutu Email

Post by SandRider »

I can receive mail at my jacurutu mail account,
and send mail from that account, but I can't
get the mozilla thunderbird to connect to it ...

it connects to the mail server, but says my
username and/or password is incorrect, but
I've triple checked and I'm entering the correct
account information ....

since this is a gmail account, does anyone know
of issues with thunderbird and gmail ? what am
I doing wrong ?

I really like using thunderbird, and have it connected to all my
various email accounts, the real accounts from my local ISP, the
msnHotmail (live.com) sockpuppet accounts and yahoo; but I've
not used gmail before, so ....

I don's know of any, SR. Sorry. If Ragabash doesn't answer in this thread soon, shoot him a PM. He knows a lot about that stuff.

hey, I finally figgered this one out, and was the simple -

logged on at the jacurutu.com mail page,
under settings>forwarding & POP/IMAP,
the default is POP & IMAP disabled ...

enabled those, and this account links up with the thunderbird, no problem ...

which reminded me:

I signed up for Keith's newletter like two months ago but havent reiceved one yet. Can you check that my emails is right? and I remember on the anderszone sight there was a place to download the newslwetter, but no I cant find it. And how do Ijoin the KJASF? I've already bought every book Keith has put out, but someone told me you had to buy one online from the anderszone - that's okay I guess, but I cant find where to order one on the websight. I sent byron a message about it at dunenvels.com but he didnt write me back.

I hope it doesn't happen. I doubt the universe is capable of containing that much awesome.

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.
