For the record I totally agree, KJA messing with a pulp universe like SW isn't even close to the same level of despicableness that him messing with serious lit is.

Not only that, but 11 years ago I joined a Star Wars forum and we trashed the shit out of him there. When I heard that he was going to be writing Dune books I was devastated.Omphalos wrote:It must feel like he's haunting you in particular.Nekhrun wrote:I'm both and I hate that fucker.A Thing of Eternity wrote:We haven't heard anything from Batman or Superman fans yet have we? Weirdness ... nacnud spelled backwords is Duncan.Nekhrun wrote:Just to add, there isn't a franchise in which he's worked that does like him. He's universally hated except for his little nacnud followers who kiss his balls every time he takes a shit.
Goodkind's most recent novel went from hardcover to remainder bin in *three months*.Kojiro wrote:I probably hate that guy almost as much as I hate KJA....Haddonfield, NJ: Second Question - I've noticed similarities between your Sword of Truth series and Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series...(Black Sisterhood vs. Black Ajah; The Order vs. The Seanchan; Richard vs. Rand both discovering their powers, both have Nameless evil Gods...etc.) I've often voiced my suspicion that these two series might be occurring on the same world...how crazy am I?
Terry Goodkind: If you notice a similarity, then you probably aren't old enough to read my books.
Good. He was probably my favourite author for a bit when I was younger, but his books went downhill fast (didn't start all that perfect either) and he is one of the most condescending arrogant people on the planet. His ego makes KJA look like a buddhist monk.Hunchback Jack wrote:Goodkind's most recent novel went from hardcover to remainder bin in *three months*.Kojiro wrote:I probably hate that guy almost as much as I hate KJA....Haddonfield, NJ: Second Question - I've noticed similarities between your Sword of Truth series and Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series...(Black Sisterhood vs. Black Ajah; The Order vs. The Seanchan; Richard vs. Rand both discovering their powers, both have Nameless evil Gods...etc.) I've often voiced my suspicion that these two series might be occurring on the same world...how crazy am I?

*Tairy is what Goodkind his know on the many, many, many, message board threads devoted to describing just how shit his books are.
This is why pretty men swoon and brave women skedaddle when The Tidwell walks in.Omphalos wrote:Are you drunk?
Would that be for a gin and tonic? Pass one over, if so, 'cos I'm mighty parched, and mighty partial.Omphalos wrote:I'm just askin' cause I'm fixin' to join him; the Mouse just got home with a shit load of limes and a bottle of tonic water.

Aye. Alas, the gin died last night. Watched There Will Be Blood and put the rest of it away.Hunchback Jack wrote:Would that be for a gin and tonic?
