Ultra-suckage?

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.

A suckularity: the ultimate, ultra-super-plus-sucky result of suckulational collapse. (Although prolapse might be more interesting!)

The suckularity is at the center of the pink hole?

Is there hair on the event horizon?

Now that my son (turning 5 in a few days, and very eager to see TRON: Legacy as I've mentioned before) has seen the original trilogy, I'm desperately trying to keep him away from the prequels. I recently re-watched them in an attempt to edit together something that he could watch....and I failed, utterly. It's really so bad that it's just not possible to scrub the horror out no matter much much you cut it down.

Check out FanEdit. They have a lot of re-cuts of the Star Wars films. Surely there's a decent cut of the prequels in there.

If FanEdit managed to scrub out every instance of Anakin whining like a little bitch, they'd be left with what, about 15 minutes of film out of the entire prequel trilogy?!

For something like this, I am reminded of Carl Sagen's explanation of googol vs. googolplex. Where a googol is 1 followed by 100 zeros, a googolplex is 1 followed by a googol of zeros.

For something to suck so bad that it has it's own gravity well, I am thinking (in KJA terms) it is ultra-suck?

If Carl Sagen were here to evaluate the amount of suck that this series exhibits, he might deam that it comprises a suckplex. That is to say that the amount of suck is so intense, that it might cause the entire solar system to collaps upon itself, thus resulting in one giant 10,000 gigaton explosion that will destroy everything within 285 Astronomical units. In other words, once this series goes to print, we are all doomed.

Just a nitpick, but it's Sagan, not "Sagen."

After reviewing the options, I think (in chanelling Carl Sagan) that Suckaplex would the term most appropriate in this scenario. That is, that the descriptive term in this spelling "suckaplex" can be appropriately divided into three different yet related meanings, all of which are applicable and immediatly accessible to this scenario.

1. That the story sucks to such an extent that the future of our very own solar system is at stake,
2. That the writers of the story have a gravitational hold on all of the sucka's that many of us call prequelites, and
3. That the gravity well generated by the amount of suck exhibited by the story has drawn in and littereally sucked the intelligence out of many of its readers.

More study of the suckaplex phenomena is need.

Uberspankydicktahikingultrasuckaplex just about covers it, methinks.

Suckaplex is indeed an awesome word, but given the definition stated by Omph I think suckularity is the winner.

Suckularity. Oh yeah.
Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

Any single book of any of the prequels, sequels, or inbetweenquels can and does indeed suck.

Any series whether it be the two (soon to be three) prequels, sequels, or the inbetweenquels represents suckularity.

The entire catalog of all prequels, sequels, and inbetweenquels represents a rather large and continually expanding suckaplex that will eventually destroy mankind as we know it.
