You mean if they remain internally consistent?SandChigger wrote:Either way, this is probably much later than the period to be smeared with the steaming bloody piles of the Great Stools.
Absolutely inspired! Well done Chig!SandChigger wrote:Well, the people concerned at both ROT/Gorge and Slimon & Scheister are complete fucking idiots if they're not watching Anderson & Herbert and how they're approaching this next book & series. Anderson is like a lab rat with electrodes buried in his sex center: you know he wasn't going to quit pushing that Heroes button until he and Dune dropped over dead. So that means the publishers killed the juice, not him & Bobo jonesin' to get their post-Legends groove on. And from what we've seen thus far nothing whatsoever has changed: Hack & Bobes (supposedly) brainstormed and shot their creative juices like a pair of premature ejaculator mink with Anderson (and, evidently BoBo, too) working on other projects at the same time. Now Anderson is posting little tidbits to make it look like the process is still ongoing, but from he's posted before I think we can safely say that the Prose is Polished and the thing pretty much done. (And even if it gets sent back for major revisions once HE SUBMITS the final manuscript, we'll never hear anything about it. Unless he gets so pissed off at the affront of having a MERE copy-editor DARE to suggest his work needs improvement that he slips and bitches about it on Twitter.)
The "writers" and the completely useless/impotent HLP aren't going to stop this stupidity, so it looks like we're going to have to look to the publishers to stop it. And the only way that will happen is if the books continue to fail in the marketplace.
Pall of Dumb did badly, Jessica's Winds of Doom did even worse. Will there still be enough dedicated fanboys left to revive McDune with sales of Shitterhood?
Let's hope not.
Since when has that been an issue?inhuien wrote:Someone obviously felt it was more in keeping with Franks canon.
Why would he mention it was on-spec? Why has it taken him this long to jump on the whole necrophilia craze? Why do I keep asking these questions when the answer is probably designed to kill brain cells....I’m doing a last fine polish to the manuscript of my humorous zombie detective novel (an on-spec book)
Perhaps never.Freakzilla wrote:Since when has that been an issue?inhuien wrote:Someone obviously felt it was more in keeping with Franks canon.
Wow, a zombie novel that actually eats the reader's brains. Now THAT is a feat.Ampoliros wrote:I'm just wondering how they are going to implement the whole 'shaved head' thing.
Oh and from the blag there was this gem:
